Demonstrating strong professional management skills pertaining to preservation and the conservation of forestry services, Linda Bodenlos has spent the past 37 years in various positions with the US Forest Service. Three years ago, she became the branch chief of the organization, which protects 154 national forests and 20 grasslands in 44 states and Puerto Rico with the aim of keeping them healthy, diverse and productive.
Exemplary skills pertaining to relationship management and communication have contributed to Ms. Bodenlos’ success. Although she experienced some gender-related issues in the field, she was successfully able to overcome them. A natural progression of skills and knowledge as it pertains to nature conservation values and forestry protection has gotten Ms. Bodenlos to where she is today. Additionally, in 1972, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
