Privileged to be able to see the beauty of the Earth through the lens of her camera, Mary Steinbacher shares her work through Mary Steinbacher Photography. Her passion for photography began when she was 11 years old; she loved taking her Canon camera and shooting pictures of nature. Now, Ms. Steinbacher photographs vineyards, wineries, corporate events, weddings, people and families. She has the unique ability to engage her clients and make them feel relaxed in her company, which has contributed to her success.

Before she started her own photography business, however, Ms. Steinbacher worked as a news photojournalist. She started out working at a Cheyenne, Wyo. newspaper, but after a couple of years she decided to freelance, be creative, and explore the country. Ms. Steinbacher’s images have been published by National Geographic Books, and in numerous magazines, including Mountains Living. Her stock photos have been used by corporations such as Microsoft, Disney, Tommy Hilfiger, Ford and Banana Republic, and Stephen King used one of her photos on his book, “Black House.” Additionally, Ms. Steinbacher has done assignment work for the New York Times. She is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the Sierra Club.
