For 24 years, Julie Rattan has been serving in the health care field, becoming an expert in mental health, ICE, and renal transplant. Currently as a registered nurse at Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center, she spent the past eight years drawing upon her knowledge base as a psych nurse and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Texas. Ms. Rattan loves her job because taking care of others has been a passion of her since she was a child.

When Ms. Rattan was 11, she was diagnosed as a diabetic, and while she was in the hospital, she’d watch the nurses take care of her, which encouraged her to begin in the profession. To keep abreast of changes in her profession, she holds membership with the Oklahoma Public Employee Association. During her free-time, Ms. Rattan enjoys spending time with her family; her two sons are 16 years old. They take an annual family vacation together.
