Target store team leader Amanda Spilde chose this career path because she thought that  the retailer was a solid company to work for. She has a MEd, form the University of Minnesota which she obtained in 2008. She also attended a training program within the organization. The biggest challenge that she has had to overcome was finding a stable position after five years in education of being laid off due to budget cuts and being the newest, and having to find ways to provide for her family. The one aspect of Ms. Spilde’s career that she would like to change is she would like to see more resources and technology be implemented into the stores.

Ms. Spilde is inspired most by her family, in particular her mother and the women in her family. She comes from a family background of very strong women. She wants most to be remembered for being a really good person. Her personal goal is to have a fulfilling life with her family, and provide a healthy stable foundation for her children. Her greatest accomplishment to date is after five years of attempting to start a family, is being blessed with twins.Professionally, her goal is to be as successful as she possibly can. During her free-time, Ms. Spilde enjoys spending time with family, dining with girl friends and playing golf.
