Within her second year as a technical writer for B Braun USA, Valerie Tubner continues to garner six years of experience in the field, helping the manufacturing company provide innovative medical devices. She chose this career after retiring from the telecommunications industry for 26 years, but has always enjoyed writing and so this opportunity was a very natural progression for her. To boost herself within the arena, Ms. Tubner draws upon her strength in overcoming challenges by remaining adverse in project planning, project management, executing meetings, setting goals and objectives and meeting the expectations.

Ms. Tubner received a Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering, and Associate of Applied Science degrees in business management and accounting. Her greatest personal accomplishment to date is being a single parent and raising her son, who is now a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. Her greatest professional accomplishment was earning the positions in upper management that she held with AT&T. Ms. Tubner’s biggest challenge was being the only minority and the only woman technician in the data network at that time.

Throughout her career, Ms. Tubner has found inspiration and success through her strong work ethic, and trying to enjoy making things better. Her current professional goals are to continue to provide restructuring and process improvements so things can run smoothly and efficiently. She is a member of the NAPW and has been recognized as VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession; During her free-time, Ms. Tuber supports a variety of charities.
