Julie Olson

0042a15-140x150Title: President

Company: Turner Lee Consulting & Design, Inc.

Location: Danville, Calif.

Upon starting her family, Julie Olson did not want to return to work after having her first son, as she wanted to avoid putting him into day care. Since then, she began her own marketing and advertising company using her son’s name, Turner Lee Consulting & Design, Inc, giving herself the flexibility to care for her son in the manner and environment of her choice. Ms. Olson’s strength to continue her entrepreneurial endeavors stems from her perseverance through the peaks and valleys of running her business for more than 17 years. She is also strong in the area of flexibility and  the quick implementation of new strategies.

Ms. Olson’s greatest accomplishment was stepping up to help a World Wide Packaging Manager for HP.  This was a lady who needed Ms. Olson’s services to do her job for a two year period while she recovered from a serious illness. One aspect of her working condition she has been thinking about changing is setting a new trend, pioneering in the industry, and shedding light and exposure to packaging. Ms. Olson’s professional goals include taking advantage of digital printing which does not require printing hundreds of copies before you get that right one.  It will lead to more efficiency and the process is better for the environment.

Throughout her career, Ms. Olson has earned the The Circle and Agency/Partner Awards through HP, and participates in The Packaging Design Association and the Stanford Social Innovation Group to keep abreast of changes in her profession. She also supports the charitable mission and helped formed the non-profit organization, H.O.W., to unite, as well as, bring teaching and innovation to kids in impoverished areas of the community. During her free time, Ms. Olson enjoys cooking and going to different wineries.
