Jeanette Pichardo celebrates 16 years as registrar for the College of Mount Saint Vincent, continually bringing to the position skill in communication, educational encouragement, and leadership with staff and students. As registrar, she assists in the development and completion of student services, performs commencement duties, maintains the school’s academic information infrastructure, carries out web policies with the information technology department, and performs countless other responsibilities. Ms. Pichardo chose this career path because she has always enjoyed the public sector, which offers many wonderful opportunities. She feels that education and networking have contributed significantly to her occupational success.

Ms. Pichardo’s inspiration comes from within; as a Hispanic immigrant who loves education, she has grown personally and professionally through education and mentorship. The thought of helping others achieve motivates her to continue in her professional endeavors. Passionate about learning, Ms. Pichardo was the first of her generation in her family to achieve a master’s degree, and she is currently working toward a doctorate. She prepared for her career by earning a Master of Business Administration in finance with distinction from Long Island University, following a Bachelor of Arts in economics and management administration from the City University of New York City College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Mercy College. Ms. Pichardo’s career has been punctuated with many awards and acknowledgements.
