Attributing 32 years of success in the specialty product sales arena, Claire Freeman continues in her 15^th year at Essendant, the wholesale distributor. Currently as director of customer and sales engagement, she provides the transportation and logistics for business products (such as office supplies and furniture) throughout regional Illinois. An expert in systems knowledge and integrating customers, Ms. Freeman attributes her undying success to having mentors and always looking out for the customer, as well as the company.

Initially, Ms. Freeman became involved in her profession because she started in the company, in an entry-level position, just out of college. Now, throughout her work-week, she tests information technology, tracks all suppliers, and leads the national accounts in sales operations. As well, she has received the RACI Methodology award for project management. In five years, Ms. Freeman hopes to obtain a vice president position.

Ms. Freeman received a Bachelor of Science in information system from University of San Francisco. There and within her first job, she learned how to develop strong, accomplished teams, with an ability to build strong relationships with customers and coworkers, and translate customer requirements into successful sales opportunities. During her free-time, Ms. Freeman supports City of Hope, Relay for Life, and American Cancer Society.
