For Susan Grizzle, nursing runs in the family. With a mother and grandmother who were also nurses, Ms. Grizzle decided on her career path at a young age and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Excelsior College. She has also advanced herself educationally with copious post-graduate coursework, and received her legal nurse certification in 2009. Through her work as owner of Grizzle & Associates Legal Nurse Consultants, Ms. Grizzle hopes to influence the attitude of the current generation of nurses, instilling them with values such as dedication and patient-centric commitment.  

An accomplished change agent with significant communication skills, Ms. Grizzle is motivated in her endeavors by her enthusiasm for taking on challenges. Her 37-year career includes work as director of interventional cardiology at a hospital at San Francisco, where she oversaw training programs and a departmental development project that included four labs. Professionally, Ms. Grizzle would most like to be remembered for her contributions to her staff. Highly-involved in the nursing community, she belongs to Nursing Leadership, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
