Company: Edina Realty

Location: Blaine,

“It’s clear that in addition to building her own successful business, Amy helps build up the agents and employees around her – something Emma Rovick would have greatly appreciated,” said Barb Jandric, Edina Realty president. Established to honor company founder Emma Rovick, the “Emmy” Award is presented annually to one agent and one employee who exemplify the company’s core values of honesty, integrity and commitment.

Ms. Peterson has 12 years of professional experience as a Realtor with Edina Realty’s Anoka/Coon Rapids office. She considers her greatest strengths to be her problem solving abilities, as well as her organizational and communication skills. She is very well-respected in her industry and her peers describe her as a “natural relationship builder.”

Fellow agents also describe Ms. Peterson as one of the hardest working agents in the company. In addition to providing exceptional service to her clients, she spends many extra hours supporting her colleagues as a long-time technology coach, Exceptional Properties division ambassador and office planning committee member. As a head coach, she provides valuable agent feedback to corporate resources and is assisting with the rollout of a new customer relationship management program.

In her work on the Board of Directors for the Saint Paul Area Association of Realtors (SPAAR) and Realtors Charitable Foundation, Ms. Peterson helps organize even more local activities while keeping her fellow agents up-to-date on industry news. Her efforts were recognized in 2014 with the SPAAR Rising Star Award, and she has been nominated for SPAAR Realtor of the Year. She was recently appointed to the Minnesota Association Board of Directors and continues to actively participate on numerous local and state association committees.

Ms. Peterson thrives on opportunities to give back to the communities in which she lives and works. She regularly mentors youth in organizations including Girl Scouts and 4-H, assists with Toys for Joy events in Anoka County, volunteers with Minnesota Ride for Kids events benefiting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, and has conducted hundreds of hours of volunteer training throughout the Midwest as a Master Instructor for the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
