After focusing on her family, Dawn Solomon chose a career path in accounting and finance, taxes, accounts payable, having always been good with numbers while completing applications and systems. Currently, she holds the role as senior SAP business process analyst, supporting human resources and global finances, working as team lead at the center of excellence for Haworth Inc. Ms. Solomon has been in the tax industry since 1986 and in finance for 22 years. Her advice to the younger generation is that motivation is key and determination.

Ms. Solomon prepared for this career not only through her own achievements in college, but also taking advantage of the Aspiring Leadership Program through Harvard University-Online.  Haworth, Inc., chose 25 people for this great educational opportunity and she was one of the 25. After completion of the program, she made a big presentation to the Mr. Haworth and Chairman of the Board and Directors, which was a big success. Ms. Solomon’s greatest strength has been her leadership skills and qualities, becoming a subject matter expert and my hard work ethic, garnering her most accomplished achievement by continuing her efforts to complete a bachelor’s degree in accounting, while handling all of her many other responsibilities and caring for her family.
