Her meticulous work in information technology helps to further the company’s goal of providing New York City educators with retirement, disability and death benefit services. Passionate about advancement, Ms. Nuñez hopes to be remembered as a leader determined to achieve her professional goals.

Committed to preparing for her career, Ms. Nuñez earned a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Systems from the New York City College of Technology. She is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Information Systems with an emphasis on Technology Leadership and  Project Management from Touro College, and she considers going back to school to be her greatest professional achievement. Before coming to work for the Teachers’ Retirement System, Ms. Nuñez worked for the City of New York in various technological areas, including Public Relations and Web Coordination. Although she has experienced being outnumbered in a male-dominated field, she continues to persistently advance within the information technology industry.

Ms. Nuñez considers her greatest personal accomplishment to be her two children, from whom she draws her inspiration. Through her occupational endeavors, she hopes to be a good role model for them and exemplify the fact that that anything can be accomplished with hard work and determination. Due to her undertakings in the work place, she is the recipient of the Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship Program for her graduate studies. In her free time, Ms. Nuñez enjoys music and dancing and donates to various charities.
