Drawing upon 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist, licensed clinical social worker LaDonna Goldsmith continues to bring determination, follow-through and integrity to the field of social work. After going through therapy and finding herself, Ms. Goldsmith decided to pursue a career in therapy and reach out to others through her work. Determined to succeed in her profession, she is still steadily contributing to the field in her 70s.

Ms. Goldsmith prepared for this career by earning a master’s degree in clinical and medical social work from Syracuse University. Attributing her success to her enthusiasm, goals and compassion, she considers her greatest accomplishments to be the lives she has changed through her vocational work. Ms. Goldsmith hopes to be remembered for her compassion for others, and she advises the younger generation of women entering the workforce to embrace their worth and pursue their goals unhindered.

Professionally, Ms. Goldsmith hopes to continue in her practice in the years to come. She is a former member of the National Association of Social Workers, through which she fostered professional growth within the community. When she isn’t working, Ms. Goldsmith enjoys the theater, playing the piano and spending time with her family.
