Drawing upon a strong scientific and psychological background, Karen Livey celebrates 13 years as speaker, presenter and facilitator for Leadership Keys. Intrigued with how the brain works, Ms. Livey decided early in her career to study neuroscience and figure out how brain function affects leadership skills. She founded Leadership Keys in 2002, using the boutique consultancy to bring about sustainable change in others with neuroscience as its basis.

Ms. Livey furthered her career goals with a thorough initial education. After achieving a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she earned a diploma in neuroscience of leadership. Supported by her knowledge, Ms. Livey now coaches different groups of people, including emerging leaders, experienced leaders and women, on practical leadership techniques.

Citing her speaking engagements as some of her greatest accomplishments, Ms. Livey aspires to assist and inspire others as they develop themselves professionally. She proudly brings energy and enthusiasm into her workplace and motivates her clients through her positive and optimistic outlook. Ms. Livey is also passionate about collaboration, hoping through her work to encourage sharing and teamwork in the professional arena.

Ultimately, Ms. Livey hopes to be remembered as a confident individual who passed on valuable knowledge and made positive change. She currently utilizes her business background through her involvement with the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Production and Inventory Control Society, Ltd., where she is a board member for a nonprofit supply chain. She also supports the betterment of others through her support of World Vision and Water for Africa. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cycling, fitness classes, working with her dogs, swimming in the ocean, theatre and good meals.
