As national president for Friends of Akim USA, Elayne Flamm continues to care for the physically, mentally and intellectually disabled in Israel and raise awareness for those in need. Drawing upon 16 years of experience with the organization, she brings dedication and significant fund-raising abilities to the nonprofit field. Professionally, Ms. Flamm hopes to continue to provide a wide range of services through Friends of Akim USA and to be remembered for the work she has done to provide others with care and support.

Ms. Flamm started out in the performing arts and changed gears professionally 16 years ago when a friend got her interested in Friends of Akim USA. She attributes her occupational success to her devotion to God, advising younger women entering the workforce to keep their eyes on God as they seek professional advancement. She also cites her late husband as a motivator in her career-related accomplishments. Ms. Flamm’s nonprofit interests extend to her participation in the International Society of Palm Beach, Israel Bond and her role on the advisory board of Jezreel International. When she isn’t working, she enjoys movies, Bible study, fund raising social events and spending time with her grandchildren.
