When Christine Arevalo was a victim of identity theft in college, she decided to advocate for other victims through her professional pursuits. As current vice president of healthcare fraud solutions for ID Experts, Ms. Arevalo provides innovative identity protection and restoration services to healthcare organizations in the Oregon area. Driven by passion and enthusiasm for what she does, she engages clients and provides them with the technology they need for high-quality identity protection. It is her ultimate goal to make healthcare fraud more widely acknowledged as an issue that needs to be monitored and prevented.

In order to familiarize herself with the industry, Ms. Arevalo earned a master’s degree in economic crime management from Utica College in 2010, following two bachelor’s degrees in business and economics from the same and a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. A founding employee of ID Experts, she has assisted healthcare organizations with patient-related information risks, navigated privacy issues and helped establish risk strategies since 2003. Ms. Arevalo currently leads the development of MIDAS, a patent-pending medical identity alert system, and serves as a founding member of the Medical Identity Fraud Alliance.

Ms. Arevalo feels she owes her success to her tenacity, scrappy sense of humor, dignity and ability to forge a path and command the respect of her peers. Passionate about the advancement of women in the workplace, she has been volunteering for Dress for Success Oregon for more than 12 years, providing professional attire to disadvantaged women in hopes of furthering their occupational goals. She also supports the Children’s Cancer Organization through volunteer work. In her spare time, Ms. Arevalo enjoys traveling and reading.
