Director of radiology at Integris Health, Amy Brown continues to hone in her seasoned expertise for the nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the state of Oklahoma for charitable, scientific and educational purposes and specifically to engage in the delivery of health-care services and related activities. There, she continues to garner experience in her expertise including capital acquisitions, supply management, operations, budgeting, quality assurance, and staff management. Ms. Brown chose this career path because she always enjoyed leadership roles and her mother encouraged her to get involved in healthcare, so this became a very natural progression for her.
It was INTEGRIS Health is governed by a 19-member board of directors made up of business and community leaders from across the state. It’s managed by President and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Lawrence, with the assistance of senior staff in the areas of physician services, facility operations, strategic services and finance. INTEGRIS Health Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1983 to serve as the parent corporation for, and to provide management and administrative support to, INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center Inc., another Oklahoma not-for-profit corporation that operates a tertiary care hospital in northwest Oklahoma City. Ms. Brown’s biggest challenge has been being passed up for promotions, but staying diligent in her philosophy, persistent and the support from her family.
Ms. Brown prepared for this career by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in radiology with a minor in business from the University of Oklahoma and is pursuing a master’s degree. She is also currently involved with American Hospital for Radiology Administrators and American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Ms. Brown is drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as Christmas Connections and her church too. During her free-time, she enjoys rowing, triathlons, snow skiing, reading, and going to the beach.
