For 32 years, Merle Cann has been pursuing a career in human services, having only been pastor of Ark of Christ Mission Int’l Inc. for the past three years. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Special Education, she worked with children with special needs. For the past six years, her focus was on the Autistic population and participated in several professional workshops to enhance her ability to successfully educate this population. Ms. Cann prepared for this career by attending Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus and obtaining her S.A.S in Advanced School Supervision/Administration and Master of Science in education, Early Childhood.

Merle Cann’s greatest strengths lie in her leadership abilities and her ability to help other women find their inner strength. She is the Founder of Women of Purpose, Inc., which gives a second chance to pregnant teens, encouraging them to maximize their potential in education, spiritually, financially and physically. In addition to her accomplishments as a Professional Life Coach, Educator, Motivational Speaker, and Author of the book “Handfuls of Purpose”, Merle Cann is very proud of her accomplishments as a mother and grandmother.
