Magdalena Gebska-Wojdynska became involved in her profession 21 years ago because she finished medical school in Poland and started her residency in internal medicine and endocrinology. Due to political turmoil, she left the country. After that, she had the opportunity to choose another residency. With a foundation and experience in internal medicine and endocrinology, she decided to pursue psychiatry. Dr. Gebska-Wojdynska has a background in internal medicine and endocrinology, interest in women’s health with emphasis in executive and cognitive function, and treates adults with ADD, ADHD and hormonal imbalance.
Currently as medical director of the Center For Adult Psychiatry, she treats patients, drawing upon what she learned during her residency in psychiatry at Duke University Hospital, and the MD she earned. Since graduation, she keeps abreast of changes in her field through her memberships with the North Carolina Psychiatric Association, American Psychiatric Association, and American Medical Association. In five years, she expects to continue the practice and stay on top of what’s new. She is very interested in integrative medicine, both traditional and nontraditional. She plan to help as many people possible with a holistic approach.
