Attributing her success to her passion for the health care profession, Julie Bulson continues to garner 35 years of expertise in emergency medical preparedness. Currently, she is in her 10^th year at the nonprofit health care system, now serving as director of emergency preparedness, developing a healthy community. In five years, Ms. Bulson hopes to earn a Ph.D. and achieve personal and professional growth.

Initially, Ms. Bulson became involved in her profession through her involvement in a disaster committee. Throughout her work-week, she manages response programs and ensures well-refined emergency preparedness to her patients and peers. Ms. Bulson prepared for this career by receiving a master’s degree in public administration, after a receiving a Bachelor of Science in nursing, both from GVSU.
