Title: Chief Administration Officer
Company: UCLA Radiology
Location: Los Angeles, Calif.
30 years ago, Brenda Izzi began in her career because she wanted to be a nurse, and now continues at UCLA Radiology as chief administration officer. She prepared for this career by earning a license in nursing, becoming a registered nurse, and earning a Master of Business Administration. The biggest challenge Ms. Izzi had to overcome was being so young when she received a LPN and now it’s finding the balance between my career and home life.
As a woman in today’s world, the contribution to Ms. Izzi’s success is her strong focus on empathetic care which comes natural and genuine. The business she is in is service and delivery. She has a drive and strong intent to make people’s lives better. She delivers on compassion, not judgement. Brenda listens and pays attention to learn what people need around her. She focuses on advancement and benefit of others whether it is a patient or a co-worker.
The advice Brenda can share with the younger generation of females entering the workforce is, “Have confidence. You have a perspective that no one else can provide. You do not need validation.” The legacy that Brenda would like to leave behind is to be recognized. She feels that when you are in this world you need to leave it better than when you found it.
