As of last year, Evie Lindberg is the recipient of the award “Faculty Scholar For The College Of Education” for Oral Roberts University. As associate professor at the university, she continues to dedicate nearly 30 years in the field of education, having received a Master of Arts in special education and Ed.D. in educational leadership. Ms. Lindberg is proud to say, “I have just written my first book…my autobiography. At the moment, it is entitled “From Disability to Blessing”-(the title of which is subject to change). The book will be released by the end of this year. I am very excited about that!”
The biggest challenge Ms. Lindberg has overcome was learning how to write a dissertation for her doctorate. In addition, another challenge has been keeping up with the never-ending changes in technology. Her greatest strengths are centered around her students and advising, counseling and communicating with them about their overall organizational skills. Her mentorship abilities are exercised daily as a consultant for special education. Ms. Lindberg wants to be remembered as an individual who was always willing to be a servant leader.
