Sandra Torres is a member of the Alvarado Tax & Business Advisors. She prepared for this career by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration and certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant. The biggest challenge that she has overcome was being a single mother of two children while working full-time and serving as the treasurer of two not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Torres’ greatest strengths are in individual taxation and nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Torres is on the board of directors for CREARTE, Inc. and Fundación de Becas Padre Claro, Corp, where she serves as treasurer. She is also an instructor at the Puerto Rico CPA society, where she donates her time on a pro bono basis. She has received an award for the Puerto Rico CPA Society for her distinctive service to not-for-profit organizations. During her free-time, Ms. Torres enjoys spending time with her family.
