Ms. Thomson wrote and published a book entitled ‘Journey to Joy,’ the first in a series about living with grief and loss after the death of her husband. Her book is being sold across the United States and internationally. She writes under the pen name Kay E. Thomson. Ms. Thomson owned a small boutique business for 10 years and managed 26 vendors while working in the computer industry. She has been a Sunday School teacher for middle school and high school students for 21 years. In five years, Ms. Thomson hopes to continue to grow professionally and publish the next book in her series of learning to deal with grief and loss as it pertains to adults as well as children.

The most gratifying aspect of Ms. Thomson’s career has been being trusted by all of her managers to complete work that stretched her knowledge and abilities in sales, marketing and as a musical producer. She attributes her success to her faith in the Lord and to the support she received from her husband, family and friends, as well as her tenacity to learn new skills. Initially, Ms. Thomson became involved in her profession because of her interest in marketing and management and her love for music.
