Dedicated principal Camille Figluizzi continues to help children learn and grow at Westhill High School in Norwork, Conn. There, she dedicates her knowledge to students, providing them with fluid teacher-to-classroom administration and exemplary education. Working with children has been Ms. Figluizzi’s pleasure for years, and she has worked hard to obtain the level she is at within the educational arena.Ms. Figluizzi’s greatest accomplishment has been turning around the operations at Westhill High School, which originally was a struggling school, and is now meeting and exceeding educational standards. Her motto and goal until she is ready to retire is, “Prepare all children for the 21st century,” as so much changes so quickly within the modern era, it’s always good to have educated youth on how to adapt and adjust. Ever since Ms. Figluizzi was a child, it has been her dream to help others, and she found her niche in high-school education.

The only thing Ms. Figluizzi would change about her current profession is to have men and women be treated equally, which is something she is successfully progressing in her current position. Although retirement is long down the line for her professionally, Ms. Figluizzi intends on pursuing educational consulting once she bestows her career to another at Westhill High School.
