Attributing her success to strategic planning, working with people, communication, project management, organizing large-scale projects and teaching creative writing, Rosemary Royston continues in her seventh year as Young Harris College. She chose this career when she started off as an admission counselor and moved to a director position. She teaches part-time at the college and is a published poet. Ms Royston is inspired by complicated ideals and challenging projects, and is also inspired by helping people.

In the coming years, Ms. Royston wants to be remembered as the person who helped people feel less lonely in the world and as someone who was part of a meaningful change. Her biggest challenge is overseeing more people and having leadership opportunities, as her professional goal is teaching in an administrative role. During her free-time, Ms. Royston holds members with the Southern Association of Institutional Researchers, and enjoys reading, gardening, film, and writing.
