Drawing upon 37 garmered years of cosmetology, Barbara Ward continues to strestch her professional entrepreneurial muscle as director and educator at the Arkansas Beauty College. There, she manages operations, handles grants, directs school loans, oversees six instructors and three office staff members, teaches cosmetology, and performs business and customer services. In five years, Ms. Ward plans to enter retirement.

Ms. Ward bought her school in 1982. It holds monthly enrollments and graduations. The most gratifying aspect of her career is seeing others succeed. She attributes her success to being honest, and treating all of her students and employees fairly. She received a cosmetology and instructor licenses through the Department Education License Commerce. During her free-time, Ms. Ward supports the Boulder Avenue Christian Church.
