Carmela D’Amore has been working in the restaurant industry for approximately 25 years as the owner of Sorrento Trattoria. She loves cooking and intends to teach cooking classes in the near future. Ms. D’Amore is a specialist in Sicilian-style organic cooking and would like the younger members of her family to pursue the same career.
The highlight of Ms. D’Amore’s career was participating in cooking events for her friends and family. She attributes her success to hard work and having passion for her Sicilian heritage and culture. Initially, she became involved in the industry because her family loves to cook, and she learned a lot from them. In five years, Ms. D’Amore hopes to publish an Italian cookbook.
Prior to joining Marcar 7 Enterprises Pty Ltd, she worked at restaurants and take-out food providers. Now, her responsibilities are to oversee all operations of the company and educating Italian women and helping them connect with their Italian food culture. Ms. D’Amore is certified in business from the Chisholm Institute, certified in cooking, and certified in small business management.
