Janet Mueller chose her career path in banking because she previously worked in real estate, and as a commercial lender, saw the need for how compliance is vital to all aspects of the banking industry. Now, in her 16^th year of financial advisement, she serves as executive vice president at Western Nebraska Bank, and is the owner of Midwest Compliance Services LLC. Ms. Muller’s greatest accomplishment is being recruited by the bank for reestablishing compliance within the institution. She has been able to turn around the bank to a very high rating from the FDIC by supporting all the state and federal regulations.

Ms. Muller’s greatest strengths are in compliance, being strong willed, vocal and being a perfectionist. Her professional goals are to help others, to maintain the level of compliance needed to sustain the rating from the FDIC and to grow professionally. Her inspiration comes from the fact that she loves what she does and finding her niche Ms. Muller would like to be remembered for being respectful, caring, compassionate, that she did her job well and leaving the world a better place.

Ms. Muller participates with the Lincoln County Community Development Corp ., is president and member of the Professional Compliance Peer Group and member of the Nebraska Bankers Association. Her biggest challenge was proving herself as a woman and gaining the respect from her male counterparts. During her free-time, Ms. Muller enjoys spending time with her family on their ranch, watching and participating in rodeos, reading and crafting.
