For three decades, Dawn Hutchison has found there nothing more important than her commitment to integrity and ethics. Now in her second year as human resource manager for Micron Technology, she helps the semiconductor manufacturer dedicate its entire company to collaborating with engineers to drive innovation and transform what’s possible. There, Ms. Hutchison takes a proactive approach to environmental stewardship, occupational health and safety, and high-quality product standards.

Ms. Hutchison chose this career path because she fell in love with the company. She prepared for career by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in human resources. The biggest challenge she has had to overcome was working full time while going to school for her higher education. Ms. Hutchison’s greatest strength is her cross functional experience in human resources, as well as her ability to build collaborative networks to problem solve and achieve desired results.

Ms. Hutchison’s greatest accomplishment to date was integrating the site human resources team in the manufacturing operations department, so that the group was looked at as a business partner. The one aspect of her working condition she would most like to change is to see her company continue to make strides in our diversity and inclusion efforts.  Her professional goal is to continue in human resources and help to influence the direction it is moving. Ms. Hutchison most wants to be remembered as an inclusive leader and one who focused on the development of the organization.
