Attributing 18 years of success to having good mentors, conducting research and keeping abreast of what is current in the field; Dr. Anne Mungai initially became involved in her profession because of her desire to impart her knowledge and experience on others. For the past nine years, she has served as professor and chair of curriculum and instruction at Adelphi University. In five years, Dr. Mungai would like to publish more articles and books. She would also like to conduct more research to see how students have progressed in the field.
Dr. Mungai’s areas of expertise include multicultural education, inclusion and gender issues, and international education. Throughout her work-week, she teaches classes, conducts department meetings, and provides administrative work. She received a Ph.D. in philosophy of education from Michigan State University in 1997. During her free-time, Dr. Mingai supports the Caroline Mungai Foundation and Caroline Children’s Home.
