Corretta Patterson was promoted to her current position as Division Leader in 2012. She felt such a sense of accomplishment being promoted into this position after being successful in various leadership roles at Allstate Insurance Company. Throughout her career, she has learned that being a mother and successful professional is definitely something to be proud of and always something she intends on pursuing. She is a member of various professional associations because she felt they would be beneficial for her to network with other business owners and professional men and women. Ms. Patterson chose this career path because she has been in management for 15 years, coming from the banking industry, and started with Allstate Insurance in 2000. She started as a Support Center Manager and worked her way up to Division Leader. She loves coaching and employee development, reading, traveling, singing and listening to music, participating in community service outreach, shopping, spending time with family and friends, watching classic movies, and attending professional development training seminars.

Ms. Patterson prepared for this career by receiving a Master of Business Administration in 2006 from Averett University where she studied abroad in China to complete her International Business Course prior to graduating in 2006.  She is currently involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Virginia and United Way Roanoke Valley. She was recognized by The International Women’s Leadership Association as a woman of outstanding leadership for her contribution to family, career, and the community. She was recognized by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) as one of their VIP Women of the Year for industry professionalism. Ms. Patterson’s overall greatest strength is being a people person, quick learner, and high achiever.
