The highlight of Ms. Johnston-James’ career was being named to the faculty of the Editors Conference of the National Conference of State Legislators in 2004 and 2006. Before her present position with state government, as a news reporter, she covered the state House of Representatives and legislative committee meetings. She was also active in politics, including the re-election of Governor Bill Clinton over Governor Frank White, and desired to take a more active part in state government.
