Initially, Frances Rooney became involved in her industry because the owner of FirePro was traveling in Ireland and asked her to run a branch there. Now, drawing upon her determination, pride and passion for her work, she continues in her ninth year at FirePro, currently serving as manager director. Throughout her work-week, Ms. Rooney supervises employees, handles price containers, meets with architects and quality surveyors, and evaluates sites.

Ms. Rooney has worked with a wide variety of businesses, including the Noxell Corporation and Firepro. She is experienced in modelling and promotions, truck sales, finance, water machines, recruitment and floristry. In five years, Ms. Rooney hopes that her business will be successful and become a name to be passed on to her grandchildren.

Ms. Rooney was one of the first females to work in truck sales in Ireland. She is successful because of her desire to put herself in positions where she is an equal. She thinks outside of the box, takes risks, and only assumes that she will be successful. She advises other women not to expect someone else to know your job. Ms. Rooney tells them to know all aspects of what they do. She belongs to a yacht club.
