A member of the American Society for Public Administration, Ms. Kraatz has spent nearly four decades honing her expertise for the administrative realm. The management of administrative duties has become her core strength, and it is this capability that has allowed her to serve the City of Houston so proficiently during the last 18 years.
She has spent this time handling a myriad of tasks within the city’s Public Works and Engineering Department in the role of division manager. Ms. Kraatz’s responsibilities are diverse as she must oversee the employees within her department and maintain records, while also managing customer service. She handles matters pertaining to purchases and budgeting as well.
Tenacity and diligence are the attributes that have helped Ms. Kraatz take on each new challenge to come her way. Yet, she is also equipped with accreditation by the American Society of Public Administration, which has recognized her as a certified public manager. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston.
Building upon her involvement in the welfare of the city of Houston, Ms. Kraatz remains an active member of society in her free time as well. She sits on the board of directors of the Windsor Village Civic Association, and she adamantly supports both the Native-American Rights Fund and the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
