Company: Alpha and Omega Freedom Ministries, Inc.
Location: Wauchula, Fla.
Mrs. Gillespie and her husband, John, founded the Wauchula-based Alpha and Omega Freedom Ministries, Inc., almost three decades ago. This multifaceted, nonprofit ministry makes counseling available to those in need in the area, as well as a range of ministerial training opportunities. In order to maintain the quality services provided by the ministry, Mrs. Gillespie makes it her priority to personally render all aspects of the organization’s counseling and ministry offerings. As a result, these are two areas in which she has come to excel in.
In addition, Mrs. Gillespie is aided by a strong academic background. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Life Christian University, which she earned in 2004. She and her husband have also benefited from many hands-on training experiences over the years. Aside from visiting many jails and prisons, they have operated a halfway house for men. Later, they enrolled in a women’s drug rehabilitation program so they could learn techniques for addressing addiction more effectively. This spurred them to direct a women’s center afterward.
Mrs. Gillespie and her husband have proved themselves valuable assets to the ministerial community, and have made a great team during the last 28 years. They currently reside at Hannah’s House in Wauchula, Fla.
