Kristen Yerger has been chief financial officer at Asponte Technology since its creation in 2008, and has been in finance since 2001. She started Asponte Technology with her husband and has grown the company to about 22 employees and a handful of contractors. The company has an office in North Carolina and employees all over the country. Asponte Technology does work all over the United States for enterprise-sized companies, such as Pepsi, Staples and Prudential. The company implements an IBM product website portal which uses the IBM system to handle external and internal employee websites.

Prior to working at Asponte Technology, Ms. Yerger worked for a public accounting firm in Sarasota doing audit and tax work. Her background and the experiences that she has had throughout the years have been instrumental in enabling her to provide her current services through Asponte Technology. In five years, Ms. Yerger intends to continue growing and expanding Asponte Technology. She would like to see the company grow from 22 employees up to 35 or 40, and see their sales double. Their sales have already reached close to $4 million annually.

Ms. Yerger’s husband worked at IBM for more than 10 years and reached the highest level he could without going off on his own. With her background in accounting and finance and his background in information technology, they made a good pair for starting their own successful business. She attributes her success to her employees and leadership skills. The company has hired some very highly skilled technicians that produce quality work.
