After finishing her actual instruction part of her certification for the Co-Active Training program teaching life fulfillment and purpose, Karen Silsby began as a coach and instructor for Awakened to Life. Now, she stands out as a fulfillment coach and journaling instructor because of life’s challenges, which have molded her into the person that she is today. A zest for life also helps. Throughout her work-week, Ms. Silsby provides marketing for adult education classes and in home-based office teaching she provides, publishes pamphlets and booklets, and conducts a variety of coaching sessions.

Ms. Silsby was a physical therapist from 1975 to 1991. She recently published some of her poems in 2015. She became involved in her profession due to her love of writing and helping people, and attributes her success to persistence, adversity and life challenges. During her free-time, Ms. Silsby supports the Buena Vista Audubon, Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation, and Carlsbad Library.
