Five years ago, Karen Kenny began at AFI Investigations, wielding more than a decade of experience in the business administration arena. Now wielding 16 garnered years of seasoned expertise in the energy industry, she helps AFI Investigations provide resources, including oil, gas, wind, refining, and biofuel technologies. Ms. Kenny believes her success in the industry stems from her tenacity and creative problem solving.

Throughout her work-week, Ms. Kenny is responsible for accident investigation, development and maintenance of health and safety programs, inspection, audit, education and training support. Initially, she became involved in her profession because of great opportunity. She started in health and safety and took a position with the Alberta government. Ms. Kenny also owned a corporation in health and safety.

Ms. Kenny is a Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional, Certified Health Safety Specialist, and Certified Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology/Technician. She is also a Certified Pilot. In five years, Ms. Kenny plans to experience continued professional growth, with continuous education and training to update her skills and develop process.
