For the past three years, Beverly Veyna has provided TravelMax with expertise in health care management, education and bedside manor as a travel nurse. Attributing her success to hard work, good judgement and her leadership abilities, she manages staff and patients while overseeing the office, responding to patient inquiries, and providing physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies. She became involved in her profession because her first love in college was philosophy and sociology. She knew that did not create a career path which would meet her desires to help others. Nursing provided her gateway to service industries and provided her with the satisfaction of giving to others. In five years, Ms. Veyna intends to continue working in the field of nursing and relocate to Nashville, TN.
The highlights of Ms. Veyna’s 42 year career have been numerous. Her first love was nursing, but since was not satisfied to do only one thing, she worked as both a nurse and a police officer for two years. She was the first woman on her department’s force in 1975. Seeing the trauma in her field, she later moved into emergency medicine and was hired to teach a paramedics course and graduated with her first class! She also became a firefighter and an emergency room nurse by the age of 32. Later on, she married and relocated to Montana, where she became a helicopter rescue nurse in the Kalispell and the Glacier Park area as well as an advanced trauma life support (ATLS) provider. After the birth of her second child, she retired from flying and pursued other nursing interests.
