Initially, Nancy Baldwin became involved in the early childhood educational arena while managing a home day care center in Maine. Now, 15 years later, she serves as a teacher at an employer-sponsored child care company in Cambridge, Mass. There, she provides education and care to children ages six weeks to 15 months. In five years, Ms. Baldwin plans to retire and then work as a substitute teacher.
Throughout her work-week, Nancy Baldwin thrives on her expert collaborations skills with both parents and their children. Specifically, she provides infant feeding, custom scheduling, finger painting activities, reading education, art projects, singing time, and encouraging babies to reach for items and giving them messages. Ms. Baldwin attributes her success to continuously learning new things and keeping up on all current child care issues.
In 1999, Ms. Baldwin was been certified by Bunker Hill Community College as an infant and toddler teacher.For more than 12 years, she has been receiving recognition awards for working in the profession full-time, and giving all her energy to child learning. During her free-time, Ms. Baldwin holds membership with United Methodist Women.
