Attributing her success to having a hunger to learn, Marilyn Branham became passionately involved in her profession because she wanted a career that would enable her to serve others. She separates herself from her peers by helping the public, especially those who are less fortunate, which is a moral and social responsibility, not just a job. Ms. Branham’s greatest career achievement is helping clients become self-sufficient. The highlight of her career was being informed that a former client was being interviewed on television for her accomplishments in a sheltered workshop. In five years, Ms. Branham intends to continue performing, teaching, and serving the public.
Ms. Branham is greatly inspired by her parents, who made many sacrifices to educate their children and instill strong values in them. In addition to her parents, she gives credit to three of her teachers who always provided encouragement and expected excellence. Being a young single parent, she has cultivated in herself the determination and drive to provide for her son. She feels that her experiences in raising a child alone have made her a stronger person than she would have been otherwise. Ms. Branham is also an avid musician who teaches private lessons and performs at several venues.
