Farida Ahmad has been a designer for the past 33 years, having officially opened her boutique and company, Azim Fashions LLC, in 2011. She designs ethnic inspired pieces, and integrates ethnic with American designs to create unique and appropriate designs for a multitude of women. In five years, Ms. Ahmad hopes to grow the business and hire more people, in addition to teaching people her trade.

Ms. Ahmad attributes her success to her faith, as well as the example her parents set with their hard work. Initially, she became involved in her profession at a young age after watching her mother, who was a seamstress. In 2014, Ms. Ahmad received Best Women’s Clothing Boutique in the Area from the Mechanicsburg Chambers of Commerce.

During her free-time, Ms. Ahmad supports Humanity First and the Ahmadiyyat Muslim Community.
