Cathleen Gruetzner’s biggest achievement is training individuals to step into her shoes; she doesn’t like to micro-manage. Currently, she is founder and chief executive officer of Weltschmertz Co. As a contract, non-profit organization, Weltschmertz Co relies on Ms. Gruetzner’s expertise to continue building their clientele.

Ms. Gruetzner comes from a family of military personnel. The advice she would like to share with the younger generation is to listen to what is said, and learn the rules and regulations. As well, Ms. Gruetzner suggests those entering the field to find out as much information on the history of the job before applying; prepare for all jobs.

Weltschmertz Co. is a has been in existence since 1986, as a group of volunteers that work for non-for-profits, helping creating everything that is needed for fundraising that provides. Ms. Gruetzner believes having the opportunity to prove herself and show that she is capable of doing the tasks assigned to her is her greatest accomplishment. She is also an excellent team-leader.
