Having studied hospitality at university and worked on moving up the ranks to her current role of general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan, Jacqueline Volkwart continues her profession as a people person and expert in building relationships. With a passion for the international business and leisure environment, she uses being a woman as an advantage and not challenging.  Ms. Volkwart wants to be remembered as inspiring others to do good things and that she has opened their eyes to the world.

Ms. Volkwart grew up in Switzerland, north of Lucerne. Currently, she helps the women step up and get involved, and feels she has made some inroads, but there is a lot more to do. Her greatest strength is taking care of people; helping, developing and inspiring them. Ms. Volkwart loves what she does, but maybe sometime in the future she will go into teaching as she has so much to share.

Throughout her career, Ms. Volkwart’s two greatest accomplishments are becoming the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico and obtaining her MBA two years ago. She feels humans live in an ever-changing world and this makes the hospitality environment very exciting. Ms. Volkwart’s work is her hobby, but she does like tennis, European soccer, cooking and eating.
