Currently, Jodi Nishida serves as president of Inspired Allied Molecular Health LLC and regional sales director of AltheaDx. Her greatest strengths within the pharmacy arena include being a strong and resilient person who doesn’t want to regret not doing something. The one aspect of her working condition she would most like to change is to remove the unethical people that are only in this field for the money and not for the patients’ best interest.  Ms. Nishia’s professional goal is to have a successful medical distributorship and start a foundation that help women and children who were victims of abuse.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Nishida attributes her success to her overall dedication to the quality of patient care in any modality. She is a big believer of working with people and networking; she chose this career path because she was interested in becoming a Doctor of Pharmacy. She was a pharmacist for eight years, then worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 12 years. Ms. Nishida started her own company, which she still owns, and as of July 1, 2015 AltheaDx acquired a part of her company.

Ms. Nishida prepared for this career through her clinical background. She learned how to partner with and act as a consultant to physicians, then learned about account management and developing business relationships. In 1996, she received a Pharm.D. from the University of Southern California. The biggest challenge she has had to overcome is leaving a lucrative career to open her own business; it took a lot of courage and faith to move forward and take this risk. During her free-time, she supports the Hawaiian Human Society, and can be found surfing, hiking with her dogs, or spending time with her children.
