Dr. Joyce Murray has conducted a private nurse therapist practice for 15 years and worked with women centers to help end domestic violence. As an educational consultant, she conducted national and international curriculum and educational consultations. As a researcher, Dr. Murray has conducted research related to faculty and student relationships, and health problems of women experiencing violence and abuse.

Initially, Dr. Murray became involved in her profession after graduating from high school. She attributes her success to her hard work and a passion for education and health care. She has recieved an Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction from The University of Georgia, and has earned the Teaching Scholar Award from NHW School of Nursing, Emory University and Mabel Korsell Award for Outstanding Service through Georgia League for Nursing. In five years, Dr. Murray hopes to continue working in the same venue.
