Ms. Herrington-Hale is fortunate to work closely with law school valedictorians and top-10 students. These students complete three- to four-week internships with her, during which time they shadow her in trials, dispositions and mediation. She enjoys this greatly and hopes to continue to work with interns in the future. Looking ahead, Ms. Herrington-Hale hopes to keep the law firm as small as possible in order to be hands-on with all of her clients. She takes her profession and position very seriously. She bonds with her clients and a lot of confidential information is shared with her, and so she wants to continue to provide the highest quality of personalized services. Ms. Herrington-Hale hopes to keep the law firm small as possible in order to be hands on with all of her clients.

‘Ms. Herrington-Hale became involved in her profession because she has always wanted to help people. Initially, she wanted to become a psychologist or attorney; she was interested in the two professions because she felt that they’d enable her to help others. She saw certain limitations, however, in the health care field, and thus became more attracted to the law profession. She believed she would be better able to assist people as an attorney and has always had a passion for being a trial lawyer. She thought it would be an exciting profession, and it proved to be. Ms. Herrington Hale finds the job very challenging, yet exciting, and loves addressing juries.

Ms. Herrington Hale attributes her success to her strong family foundation and support. In particular, she credits her father; he is a retired military man who instilled a very strong work ethic in her. He taught her to persevere and never to give up, and showed her the importance of hard work. He made her understand the importance of hard work, and that it was essential to become a lawyer. In fact, he presently works at her firm. Upon retirement from the military, he went back to school and became a paralegal. He presently heads the forensic and information technology department at Ms. Herrington Hale’s firm.
