Wielding a passion for justice, Deborah Mackoy continues on in her 18^th year of legal practice, currently an attorney and partner at Mackoy, Hernandez, Qualls, Brown, and Zahn. As a family law practice, Mackoy, Hernandez, Qualls, Brown, and Zahn relies on Ms. Mackoy for her expertise in wills and probate advisory, and family, business and child custody law. Throughout her work-wee, she serves clients in the areas of mediation and collaborative law as a mediator in the Texas counties of Dallas, Denton and Collin.

Initially, Ms. Mackoy became involved in her current area of practice after initially starting out in general law. She had mediation experience, great problem solving skills and a natural knack for this type of work, so she pursued it. In the next five years, Ms. Mackoy would like to do more mediation work and possibly more public speaking as well as mentoring.

Since joining the legal arena, Ms. Mackoy has earned Super Lawyer designation, the Top Attorneys in Texas Badge, is a charter fellow with Collin County Bench Bar Foundation, and was award Superb Avvo Rating.
