As communications specialist at McGraw-Hill Education, Barbara Hartgrove-Holley continues in her 15th year at the publishing company. Drawing upon her prior years as an education, she provides McGraw-Hill Education with extensive expertise in academic publishing, meeting planning, corporate communications, content management and development, and strategic partnerships. Ms. Hartgrove-Holley is also an expert in event planning and management, copy editing, brochures, editorial, marketing, and editing.
Ms. Hartgrove-Holley spent 32 years teaching math and science at Westmore Middle School. In her retirement, she spends time as board secretary and past board member of Education First Credit Union. In her retirement she enjoys spending time with her son and her two grandchildren (her granddaughter, Payton and her grandson, Jalin). Ms. Hartgrove-Holley received a Bachelor of Science in education from Central State University and a post graduate diploma from Ohio State University.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hartgrove-Holley’s biggest challenge was time management, meeting the needs of her students, and having a personal life as well. She believes her greatest strengths were her determination and organizational skills, and striving that all the childrens needs are met while following school district policy. In the next five years, Ms. Hartgrove-Holley wants to open a homeless shelter for just women and children.
